Description
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems are commonly necessary to operate during cold temperatures. Server rooms, grocery stores and event spaces to name a few. When exposed to low ambient conditions, ACs and Heat Pumps condensing head pressure drops. If the head pressure gets too low, the system will not have enough pressure to operate properly and serious damage can occur including:
- • Evaporator freeze-ups
- • Hydraulic lock-ups
- • Liquid slugging
- • Compressor burnout
- • Fan cycling
- • and more
The solution is to install an ICM Head Pressure Control.
The ICM325A low ambient head pressure control ensures the condenser fan runs at an optimal speed for maximum efficiency. If the system pressure gets too low or the condenser temperature gets too cold, the ICM325A lowers the fan speed accordingly. Other head pressure controls on the market just turn the fan off completely. This method results in inconsistent head pressure, inconsistent cooling, rattling pipes & ducts, system leaks, and ultimately a shortened life span of the condenser fan motor and compressor.
What is NFC Technology?
ICM has consolidated all existing single-phase head pressure controls into one control via a universal 120-600VAC line voltage and 24-240VAC control voltage. More impressively, users can setup and adjust the parameters of the device wirelessly via NFC technology (phone tapping) and the ICM Omni App.
