Associate Product Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Product Manager plays a key role in driving the development and success of the ICM Controls product portfolio. They are responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch support. The Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure that products meet market needs, are delivered on time, and achieve business objectives.  This position will report to the Director of Product Management.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market Analysis and Customer Insights:

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback through surveys, interviews, and user testing.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product features and enhancements.

Product Strategy and Planning:

  • Define the product vision and strategy based on market research, voice of customer, and business goals.
  • Develop product roadmaps taking into account the competitive marketplace, feature prioritization, channel strategy, and cadence of launch.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align product plans with overall business objectives.

Product Development and Execution:

  • Work closely with engineering and sales teams to translate customer-driven product requirements into technical specifications.
  • Prioritize features based on customer needs, market trends, and business priorities.
  • Drive the product development process, ensuring timely delivery, forecast accuracy and successful targeted marketing campaign.

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies for product launches and promotions.
  • Define product messaging, positioning, and targeting based on market segmentation and customer personas.
  • Create sales enablement materials and support sales efforts with product training, field visits, and post-launch support.

Performance Tracking and Optimization:

  • Understand key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of products including revenue, profitability, forecast accuracy, launch timeline, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Monitor product performance against KPIs and iterate on features and strategies to optimize results.
  • Conduct post-launch analysis to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between different departments, including engineering, marketing, sales, and operations, and quality.
  • Communicate product updates, changes, and timelines to stakeholders.
  • Potential travel up to 20%
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Onsite required (relocation available)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or equivalent degree, MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in Product Management in related industry, preferrable in hardware and/or the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry
  • 3+ years in a technically driven environment within a broad cross functional team.
