Disconnect with GFCI, External and Replaceable Surge Protector

The ICM497 is a next-generation HVAC disconnect that integrates two critical code-driven protections into a single, contractor-friendly solution. Designed with NEC compliance in mind, the ICM497 incorporates an external surge protective device to help meet compliance of NEC 230.67/Article 242. The ICM497 also includes a dedicated, independently wired GFCI receptacle that supports compliance with NEC 210.63, which requires a service outlet within 25 feet of HVAC equipment. By keeping the GFCI on its own circuit, the ICM497 allows technicians to safely power tools even when the disconnect is pulled, improving serviceability without compromising safety.
