Pay Range:
$65,000 – $75,000 Salary
Purpose:
The Reliability Engineer supports product qualification, reliability testing, manufacturing troubleshooting, and compliance activities for electronic control products. This role evaluates product performance, resolves technical issues, improves manufacturing processes, and supports the development and sustainment of reliable, compliant products throughout the product lifecycle in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, coordinate, and conduct product qualification, reliability, and compliance testing for electronic control products.
- Develop and document test methods, procedures, and reports to support product validation and reliability objectives.
- Troubleshoot technical issues involving electronic controls, PCB assemblies, manufacturing, and test processes.
- Perform failure analysis activities and recommend corrective actions to improve product reliability and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement of manufacturing, testing, and reliability processes.
- Support compliance and certification activities by coordinating product testing, documentation, and agency requirements.
- Interpret customer, regulatory, and industry requirements and evaluate impact to products and manufacturing processes.
- Assist with development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, process instructions, and technical records.
- Support safe operation and maintenance of reliability and test laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Analyze, summarize, and present test and process data to support engineering decisions and product improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 1+ years of engineering, manufacturing, compliance, or product certification experience preferred; co-op and internship experience considered.
- Understanding of electrical/electronic products, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems and interpret technical test data.
- Strong organizational, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
